The Erie Yacht Club Foundation (EYCF) was established by the Erie Yacht Club to:
- Provide an opportunity for its members to act collectively to foster local excellence in regional, national, and international amateur powerboating and sailing competition
- Contribute to maritime-related charitable and educational organizations in the Erie area
- Support charitable and educational activities undertaken by the Erie Yacht Club
Awards to support amateur sailing competition are made on the recommendation of a distinguished Advisory Committee, grants to maritime-related charitable and educational organizations provide members an opportunity to support the community in which their Club is located, and scholarships permit underprivileged youths to participate in maritime-related educational activities. The Erie Yacht Club Foundation provides financial support and leadership training through grants to organizations and programs that meet our vision. Our Goal To provide opportunities to teach, build skills, promote accomplishment, and nurture a sense of self-esteem within the context of our vision’s activities.
Our Mission Statement
The Erie Yacht Club Foundation seeks to advance support for all boating and marine education in the community. The Foundation views its primary objective to be that of raising funds and encouraging grant applications for such support. We will provide a bridge between individuals, businesses, and program initiatives that support our vision, helping such programs become fully established and recognized.
Open to any person, organization or business sharing our desire to promote and support programs that address our vision and work with young people in the Erie area.
